Griogar believes in the old ways. He trades energy with those he finds worthy, although many did not make the cut. He fed on the blood of men and women and knew many of the Christian seekers who came to Ionas, teaching them secret knowledge when he felt they were worth his time. Yes, he is a little bit vain, like many (most?) powerful vampires are but he can back it up.

Griogar likes the snow and the rain and he likes ancient Celtic music. He sometimes wanders the forests and communicates with animals. Some animals are not comfortable in his presence but he means them no harm. They just haven't dealt with someone like him before. Griogar was made a vampire at the age of 27 and he continued as a corporeal being for several hundred years. In that time he dispatched many humans, sometimes taking the blood of Christians who persecuted pagans. He also made as many as 15 vampires in that time so his bloodline is connected to them and all vampires they made after they transformed. His influence is strong and he can call for assistance when needed. He is a boss.
Griogar likes nature, going for walks at night, and he loves ritual such as the lighting of candles and the study of the ancient ways. He has appeared to witches and seers in the past. He likes communicating. He was a vampire in physical form for a very long time, but he was betrayed sometime in the 16th century, wounded badly and his body damaged before he managed to escape. It was a very close call and for the first time he knew fear of losing his existence. Although he knows reincarnation exists he did not wish to die and be reborn, and he did not wish to live in his damaged body, and so he left it behind through a ritual involving deep meditation and magick.
He exists now as an astral entity, though his presence can still be felt strongly in this world. Like all vampires I have known he loves physical sensation and wishes to bond with a human and know their ecstasy as well as their pain. It can't hurt him now so he is thirsty for all sensation. He can protect against spiritual and physical attacks, and will block those who would hurt you. He also wishes to join with you in study and contemplation, to show you where he has been and what he has seen, and to experience your life as well.
